Last August 25 – 26, 2010, the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of San Carlos hosted an International Conference held at Parklane International Hotel. The conference was attended mostly by fifth years and some from fourth years. There were also participants from big companies, like Timex Corporation, Lear Corporation and Lexmark to name a few. Conference enthusiasts from other schools and universities were also present. To my surprise, the conference was not just an ordinary conference; it was a conference one should not miss most especially for I.E student like me.

Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy and catch-up that much with the speakers for I was sick at that time. The first day of the conference was the second day of my being sick. But because of the conference which I am very proud to attend to, still I participated. If I was not sick at that time I’m sure I’ve had enjoyed it more.

Just because I’m sick I won’t be able to appreciate the things the department did to make the conference successful. I can really see the efforts of the faculty. They really did a good job. They had very good speakers for the conference which I was very thankful for. I appreciated the speakers from other Universities; like from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Institute Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and speakers from different companies who shared their experiences as an Industrial Engineer in the real world. Most especially when Dr. Alex Ocampo who is currently the Quality Director for Asia Region of Lear Corporation talked about quality management. Timely, our thesis topic is about reducing claims of a certain company which may lead to their quality issues. But there are also speakers who I can’t really understand maybe because of the modulation of their voices or maybe because of their accent. There was also one speaker who I wasn’t also able to understand because of her pronunciation. I’m not criticizing; it just that I really had hard time understanding on what she really is trying to say.

With regards to the food, it was satisfying, for me. The servers were all accommodating, they served the snacks well. They surely responded to what the participants need. Over-all the event was great. I don’t have regrets that I participated. If given a chance, I would gladly be accepting invitations and join. Hopefully the department will hold the same event next year and the following years. This event really helped students in understanding more of the course. Honestly, my love for this course deepened because of that event. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people who contributed in making that event a very SUCCESSFUL ONE!,.HOORAY to IE of USC-TC.

Things I want to have this Christmas

Whow! It is really starting to feel like Christmas. The cold wind, hearing christmas carol everywhere, seeing dancing lights on the streets and on every corner, colorful decors.People greeting each other, exchanging gifts and kisses... HAAAAII!! I really love Christmas. And I am pretty much sure that I will be happy this coming holiday, but if having these things,even just ONE, it would really, really, really be great!.

So these are the things I want to have this Christmas.

First is an Apple iPod – It's been 4 years since I am longing for one.Take note FOUR LONG YEARS, but Santa didn't grant my desire, maybe because I am naughty?..HA! HA! HA! So this time I try my best to be good, so that Santa Mommy would buy me one.

Second is a Mac Book Pro – This one is HEAVEN!..It is a masterpiece. I love its features, graphics, design...EVERYTHING.Who doesn't want to have this kind of thing?If you already have this one, YOU'RE COOL!!

Another thing is a Digital SLR – Just for a little information, SLR stands for Single - Lens Reflex. This kind of camera, they say, is preferred by profesional photograhers because it can accurately capture things. Another thing that would make this a LOVE is that you can choose a variety of lenses. Knowing all these facts, who doesn't want to have one!

As a dreamer, I want to own this thing if not now then maybe in the future and I dream of becoming a professional photographer. Having a photo exhibit and be known as one of the best in the country.

And lastly, a WII - I have a friend with this kind of stuff and I am jealous every time she talks about it. She even brought her friends along with her to play. And they all make the same say. They enjoyed, they were having so much fun and so on.

And so, I promise to myself to experience playing WII before I die. HA! HA! HA!

So this is my "Christmas Wish" for 2009. Hope, this time, Santa would hear my requests at least one.SANTA MOMMY!!!!! PLEASE!!

My Top 10 Favorite Movies

I don’t really have an idea of what to share . I kept on thinking interesting things but nothing would appear in my mind. But then, when I turned my head sideways, I saw my collection of DVD’s, so I got an idea of just sharing to you my Favorite Movies that I have in my room. I will just blog about my Top 10 favorite movies.

Since this is my first post for the past 3 months, this will just serve as my comeback post...Hahahaha...

My Top 10 Favorite Movies: (1 as my highest)

10. What Happens in Vegas – what I like about this movie is because of the Vegas scenes, and the tandem of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, I really love them both.

9. Marley and Me – Aaaaah, another beautiful movie of Owen Wilson, you know what, this
movie really made me cry, actually, it's because of Marley - the dog .

8. Bridge to Terabithia – I like this movie because of the effects and the idea of making an extraordinary movie with kids as the main casts. And because I pretty much like sci-fi movies.

7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button– Brad Pitt in this movies is so,so,so HOT!!..hahaha..Another movie that inspired me to love with no boundaries, age really doesn’t matter as long as you have each other’s

hearts. This film received 13 nominations,including best actor for Brad.

6. The Game Plan – I love Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in this movie,hahaha,he’s so cute in portraying as a very arrogant and selfish daddy of a very smart and cute daughter.I really enjoyed the scene where, dwayne joined the ballet show.
Joe Kingman is COOL!!

5. Stardust– At first I was hesitant to watch this movie,I don't know, I just had the feeling that this would not be that good, but then, i was so bored and got nothing to do, so why not watch this movie rather than just to stare at the window doing nothing. I was surprised, I right away fell in love with the movie as well as the characters. And accidentally, this became one of my favorites.

4. Spiderwick Chronicles - I really wanted to watch this movie,but I didn't get the chance to watch it on big screen, so I just bought it on DVD and enjoyed it over and over..What I like about this movie is the creativity of the characters, and the effects.

3. Wanted - Angelina here is so GORGEOUSLY HOT!!!..I love the concept. Love the fight scene, I was amazed of their weapons.I am desiring to have one..HAHAHA!..For me, this action packed movie is a perfect ten.

2. The Proposal - This Romantic Comedy movie is LOVE!..The hilarious acts of Sandra is one of a kind!..All I can say is 10/10!!..

1. Mamma Mia - Falling in Love with this Musical Romantic Comedy film featuring the ABBA songs. I didn't find any single scene that made me feel bored. From start til finish, is a BRAVO!..The male casts are stunningly gorgeous. I could'nt ask for more in this film.

So these are my top ten favorite movies for this year..And let's see what would be my top ten next year.This is all for now..Hanggang sa susunod..PAALAM!..

I.E Acquaintance Party '09

Last August 22, 2009, Saturday, the IE students of the University of San Carlos had their Acquaintance Party at Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel located at Lapu-lapu Cebu. And unfortunately, I'm one of the organizers and being one is laborious . You will be a planner, budget minister,coordinator, facilitator, a servant and even a runner. To prove you these, I'll share to you my experiences in making this event a successful one.

It was around the middle of June when we started talking about our acquaintance party. Where will it be, when and what are the things needed to make the party possible . Though at that time we never discussed it seriously. After 2 weeks or so, we started looking for a resort which we think that it would be the first and best thing to do . By good luck, we found a resort right away.From then, we took the next steps which is to contact the buses, for the sound system,set a budget and plan for the program. These are just the highlights among the things needed. As time draw nearer, the more I became worried (though I never showed it to the other officers for i don't want them to feel the same way too) but one thing I couldn't hide was my excitement.

Then the most awaited day came. It was around 8:30 in the morning when I arrived at the Bennie's eatery where I had to pay and get the food we ordered days before. The food was for those who will set up things in the resort before the party. At around 11 o'clock in the morning, I and Aimee went to the school and waited for the 3 Villahermosa buses that will serve as transporation of those students who couldn't bring or don't have their cars. As usual, one of the 3 buses had a problem and the other 2 buses were late.And the school guards were so inconsiderate. They were also very "BANGA" in giving instructions. So I have to run from one place to another. And take note, USC-TC, haller,bukid jud ka ha nah..Anyway, at exactly 1:30 p.m., the last bus drove off.

When we arrived at the place,I felt exhausted...But the place was so nice that it cast away my weary.It's really a White party with plain white decorations,tables covered with white cloth and stuff like that.And one thing I love the most about the place is that it was like we exclusively rented it...

The first part was the registration, it was so organized and I'm so proud of my co-officers, they did a good job.

It was followed by a mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Nestor H. Ubalde, SVD .Then we had our games facilitated by Nonah and company.

At around 6:00 p.m. we had our dinner.The type of food was Accents of Asia.

It was great but I have no appetite at that time. I don't know maybe because I was thinking if the food would be enough since the management of Costa didn't commit the agreement regarding serving the food. What we had agreed was, there will be personnel who will assist but at that time they don't have enough crew. But luckily, the food was more than enough.While eating, 2 bands ,the 3rd years and 4th years, had the time to show off their talent in music.After an hour, the program proper begun.

First we had the Crush ng I.E which was incorporated together with the raffle draw. It was fun. I had lots of laughs at that time.

It was really entertaining. In the raffle draw the first prize was a cellphone ( N5000), second prize was a Samsung MP3, then the third prize was a Skechers watch. The 3 consolation prizes were all Gift Certificates,from National Bookstore,Metro Gaisano and Yellow Cab all worth 500 each. But badly, I didn't won any in the raffle draw, even consolation prizes..hehehehe. Well anyway, congratulations to those who won the raffle draw.

The next part was the presentation of each batch. The first to present were the first years, followed by the second years and so on. The last to present were the faculty members. They had a band where Sir Donn as the vocalist and Sir Ritche in the guitar. They played together with some of the 5th years.

Because we enjoyed the party very much, I didn't notice that it was already almost 10 p.m..And the people staying in the resort were already complaining about the noise. But the students were still eager to have a band showdown. And basically, we never got the chance to have the jamming time. We fail to budget the time properly.
In the contract, we only have until 10 o'clock in the evening so we really have to pack up things. But we tried to ask the management if we could extend a little while, but we never got the luck.

After packing up, we then proceeded home. But on our way, some of the 5th years called up Mikyu. They were grouching because they were left by the buses. They said that they went out of the resort the time we stated that the buses will go and that is 10:30 p.m. Mikyu explained to them that the buses were already full so even if they got the buses on sight, they still cant get in for they were already too late. But they were so angry and they even asked for a refund. So Mikyu granted them. They were 29 with 12.50 pesos each as a refund which will be given the following week.

It was almost 11 o'clock when I arrived at my apartment. Freshen up, watched tv for about 15 minutes then cope some z's.

Exploring the Pride of Oslob

Last Saturday, August 1, I and some of the CBS (Cebu Blogger Society) members discovered fun and adventure. Wondering where that discovery is?!..Well it's an astonishing and magnificent island located in the Southeastern tip of Cebu - the Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort.

It was around 5:35 when Jessa and I arrived at SM Cebu (meeting place). While waiting for the others to come, we just took pictures and had some small talks. Timely, when the team was almost complete, 3 vans arrived which would serve as our transpo from SM to our Destination... I, Jessa, Aimee and Mikyu rode at the first van since there were only 6 of them in it. At first I was hesitant to talk because I don't know the other 6 I'm with at that time. I was reluctant to show my stupidity and mischievous behavior then but moments later I became a little bit comfortable with them for they let me feel that I'm very much welcome. I then started to talk with Mark and AJ, I enjoyed chatting with them for I can somehow relate myself in.

When we arrived in Car-Car, the team had to stop over in a fast food chain to take breakfast. After filling our stomach in we continued our trip.

Instead of doing nothing and just wait for us to arrive, we let ourselves be entertained with some talks and throwing jokes to each other even to the one driving.. Minutes later, we can now perceive with our eyes the hidden paradise we had been enthusiastically longing for hours. It was around 10:30 a.m. I think when we arrived at the place -where we had to ride a pump boat which would normally take for about 15 minutes from the mainland to the island resort but unexpectedly, sir Ruben, the man behind this great discovery, gave us a tour around the island. I was so thrilled and excited thinking how adventurous would it be.. After having a short tour we then got off the boat and was welcome with great smiles by the staffs with Sir Greg P. Perral-Resident Manager. They were so accommodating. Felt like I'm a VIP at that time. hahahahahaha..

We then went to their Pavilion which is so solemn and relaxing. They then fed us with clubhouse sandwiches and fries or something.

We were eating while Sir Greg was telling something about the wonders of Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort. I was so delighted realizing how lucky I am that I got the chance to be there and witnessed the beauty of the place.. After that, we then got the opportunity to explore the exquisiteness of the island and uncover the secret behind its simple yet elegant ambiance.

At around 11:30 a.m. or so, we went back to the Pavilion to take our lunch. ...Waaaaaaah, it was a buffet and the food was soooooooooo mouth watering. I ate a lot that it made my day more colorful..hahahaha...After that we continued taking pictures,Vanity Reigns...hahahahahhaha....and then we went kayaking. It was so fun,fun,fun. We then went to the Sandbar, my favorite part of the trip. There I experienced sandstorm , hahahahahaha, it made me realized that even how small that thing is, it still can hurt. There, I played with the big, enraged waves and trying to defeat them..hahahahaha..

And again, we headed back to the Pavilion. Others went swimming at the pool while others went to freshen up. A while later, snacks were then served. It was a pasta carbonara, it was very satisfying.

And it was almost 6:00 pm already when we drove back to the city.

It was 8:45 p.m. when I reached home. I was so burned out that I got to sleep right away.

Yehey Day!

Today is a YEHEY DAY!!!.., got up early with a smile, ate breakfast (which I'm not used to),taking time preparing for school, got time to play freecell while waiting for a friend, rode on a cab and went to school.

I have three subjects for the day which start at 9:00 am 'til 3:00 pm. Take note: I have no vacant time, my schedule really starts at 9 in the morning and ends at 3 in the afternoon.That's every Tuesday, very tiring right?.. But fortunately, our teacher gave us a 30 minute break for us to be able to take our lunch.

After class, I went to the canteen together with Mikyu , Aimee and Suyin to continue with our case study which we started last Sunday. As usual, after making a magic trick on the case study...VANITY begun..HAHAHAHAHAHA..

SUMILOM BLUEWATER ISLAND RESORT

Cebu has many things to be proud of. Aside from freindly people, fine-white sand beaches is also one of the spots that would keep tourist in visiting Cebu. And to name one of those is this very elegant with very impressive staff, The MARIBAGO BLUEWATER BEACH RESORT . Though I haven't visited the place yet, i know they have this what we call as the EDGE from other beaches. They have many facilities that could accomodate all your needs. You could have everything you need in just one place. I have a friend who got invited to visit the beach. All she shared were just all about the goodness of the place. And upon listening on her experiences, i swear to myself to visit MARIBAGO BLUEWATER BEACH RESORT soon.

And now my friend is starting to talk about SUMILON BLUEWATER ISLAND RESORT. This ISLAND is known not only for the Cebuanos but also to the whole counntry and even to the whole world because of its service and the paradise that you would be experiencing. Its like a Place for Queens and Kings. hehehehe..SUMILON IS A PLACE YOU SHOULD NOT MISS.

Need your Prayers

This day is so depressing. This morning,one of my cousins woke me up early coz she wanted to go to the beach together with my other cousins and my pamangkins. Sa beach na kami kumain ng breakfast. Unexpectedly,one of my cousins broke a bad news. He said he has a disease called "von heckling hansen's disease". He said that there is no cure and that we do not know what to avoid (pagkain,gamot,inumin) and what to do with the disease. The doctors do not have any idea. Napatingnan na nya sa ibat-ibang doctor yong sakit nya and they all have the same conclusion. Nag-iisa lng syang pumunta sa doctor nang malaman nyang wla palang cure yung sakit nya. He cried a lot at sabi nya para syang batang inaway. Awang-awa ako sa cousin ko.He has so many plans,so many ambitions. Ni hindi nga ako makapaniwala, he is so athletic and adventurious guy. The disease is physically painless but he is now suffering emotionally. And i really, really, really need your help. Please include in your prayers that he may accept it na,hindi pa kasi nya matanggap yung fact eh.. At tsaka sana may cure na yung sakit nya. Wla namang masama kung maging makulit tayo kay Lord sa kakahingi ng tulong dba?!..So please,maging makulit na rin kayo kay BRO, baka sakaling marinig pa yung prayers natin.

5 Days!!!

My days last week were kinda occupied.

Last March 23, I went to school in the morning to make our project from one of our major subjects. Later in the afternoon, I and some of my friends (Aimee, Jeff, Leslie and Mikyu) went to Ayala to look for a summer job. Fortunately, Red Ribbon accepted our application letter together with our resume.But we are still waiting for their call.

March 24, Tuesday, I went to school to continue our project. Later that day, an officer approached Mikyu
to ask if it's ok for the two of us to be representatives for a Leadership Training Seminar which will be held on March 26-27 in Argao. It was an overnight activity. Without second thoughts, we right away grab the opportunity. It would be of great help since we are appointed as officers for the I.E Council.

March 25, same group went again to school to continue our project. We made it sure to finish the project that day because we will be leaving nah tomorrow.We were done at around 1:30 pm. After that, I took an exam. I wasn't able to eat lunch at that time because I was running out of time already. The exam will start at 2:00 pm. After an hour of answering, I went to my friends who waited for me. After that I went home together with Mikyu. She had to sleep at my apartment because her house is pretty far from our meeting place and we have to be there at around 6:30-7:00.

March 26, Mikyu woke up first at around 5 o' clock in the morning I think. After she took a bath, she woke me up. After an hour of preparing we went to the meeting place which is just a walking distance from my apartment.It was 10:00 am already when we arrived at Luisa's Place in Argao.
After we put our things in our room, the facilitator right away started the first session. Whole day we had, team building, we had games, and of course,..we ate and ate and ate..nyahahaha March 27, the wake up call was 6:00am. After we took a bath we ate our breaffast. Afterwards, we had a session again with Sir Alingasa. The session was about Christian Leadership. Around 11:45 am, we had our lunch. Then after that, the facilitator gave us time to rest. At 1:40 pm, the bus arrived. It was time to leave. We are all on board at around 2:05 pm.

I got home after 2 hours. I took a rest for about an hour or two, then I again took a trip to Balamban, which is an hour and a half ride from the terminal. At 8:00 pm I arrived. I immediately went to my cousin's house to eat dinner because it was her mom's birthday. After having some talks with my cousins,
I went home to freshen up and to cop some z's..

Something to Share

WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Hey guys I've got something to share.First, I would like you to meet SAM, my new phone. It's a Samsung (SGH-B130S Dual Band). I like it because it's handy and it's just so simple. The color of it is black. This is my first time having a Samsung phonel. But I find it kinda complicated maybe because I'm used to either Nokia or Sony Ericsson mobile phones. But I'm adjusting now. I just bought this last Wednesday, March 18. The price was just Okay. Nakaafford nga ako eh...Kaya ang halaga nito ay barya lang sa inyo.

Secondly I would like to introduce my favorite pet. He is NALA. I know it's a womanish name. Yong bagong panganak kasi yan, akala ko babae,kaya ayan,NALA ang ipinangalan ko...

The other 3 namely: Simba, Mufasa and Scar are his brothers. Sounds familiar?!..Yup!..I got their names from the movie "The Lion King".

NALA is a 10 month old cat with a white fur. He is sweet, "lambing" and playful. He always sits beside me everytime I take a rest on our sofa. He is one of the major reasons why I want to be home early. He is also one of the reasons why I prefer to stay home with him even if we are the only ones left. He takes away my problems and he brightens my day. He knows how to comfort me. He knows when I'm not in the mood. I love him so much. I don't know what to do when something bad happens to him.And now I'm missing him very much.He is in our province and I'm here at the City.

My mother even told me to just bring NALA with me. But what I'm worried about is that, I'm not always at home. Who would take care of him while I'm away from home?So that's why I left him with my mother and the rest of the family, who also love him so much. I know they would take good care of him.And I'm very sure of that.

DESSERT TIME!!!

Yum! Yum!

Last Saturday afternoon, March 14,it was around 4:00 o'clock, my brother desired intensely for a MOCHA FLOAT so he requested me to make some.Luckily for him,I'm in the mood to make and I was not that busy.And since mocha float is one of my masterpiece when it comes to desserts so I just granted his request.
So here's how to make a MOCHA FLOAT!..

First you prepare the following:

Butter,Condense Milk,All Purpose Cream,Crushed Grahams,Grahams Biscuit,Coffee and Water.

After preparing,you mix all the ingredients,except for the Grahams and Water. To mix it thoroughly, you liquefy first the butter.

Afterwards,you will then start arranging the biscuits(soak it in water with coffee) on your Tupperware or anything that can be used in storing food. But it is much better and easier if you use a container intended in making Mango Float or Mocha Float.Hihihi.But I didn't use one because my mom was not home at that time and I don't know where she put the containers.Or should I say I'm too lazy to find one..nyahahaha..

You will just alternate in putting the Biscuits and the mixture of all the ingredients.

Then,put the Crushed Grahams on top if you're already contented on the thickness of your Mocha Float.Then lastly,you refrigerate,wait til it become firm.

So this is it!..hihihihi..I know its not that delicious to look at..but anyway,just try it!..then,just add something if you think it could add to the taste of the dessert.

At Age 20!

Thursday, March 12,we D' Hacienderas (our group's name) had gone through a lot...A LOT OF FUN!!!
We celebrated my 20th birthday which is ala Children's party yung theme.
It was the idea of Jessa and was held at Aimee's boarding house. May rooftop kasi dun.

After our first class (Strength of Materials;7:30-9:00am),Leslie and I went to Ayala to buy food.
While the rest of the group (Aimee,Leslie,Lyn,Mikyu and Suyin) went to the venue where we will be having
the said celebration.Si Jessa naman ay may klase pa, yung iba naman ay may pinuntahan pa (Jeff, Jo and Josef).

We (I and Leslie) bought a mocha-flavored cake at Goldilocks, 18" NY Classic-Yellow Cab pizza, some softdrinks,
and junkfoods. Bibili pa sana kami ng ice cream but I was thinking pano kung matunaw?..wala pa naman kaming ref
na magagamit dun. So yun hindi nalang kami bumili. Nong malapit na kaming matapos sa pamimili, timely, dumating si
Jeff. He brought the Spaghetti I requested. Yung Yaya kasi nya yung ipinagluto ko ng spag kasi malaman at masarap
magluto.I love spaghetti kasi eh. It's one of my favorites.Kaya yun, sinigurado ko talagang may masarap na spag sa birthday ko.

It was almost 12:00 noon when we arrived at Aimee's B.H. The place was arranged already and the balloons were prepared.
And they were already dressed-up.Marami-rami na rin silang nakuhang pictures..

So we right away changed into children's
attire.I brought with me my Jollibee stuff toy as part of my outfit.Minutes later, the party started. The first part was the singing of Happy Birthday song and the blowing of the candle. After that, was the most favorite
part of the group. Eating Time!!!..

After everyone was full,we proceeded to our games. It was hosted by Leslie and Jeff. First was the "Hep-Hep Hooray".
For me this game was the most boisterous, disorder , enjoyable, fun and most distructive game we had. I can't
express it in words. Talagang ang saya-saya namin sa game na to. Hindi nga magkamayaw sa kakatawa. Halos Hindi
na nga makapagsalita sa kakatawa eh..hahahaha

The next game was the "egg-throwing-catching", don't know the name of the game. Basta ipasa mo lang yung itlog sa
partner mo habang unti-unting lumalayo kayo sa isat-isa.Unfortunately, talo kami .Pero enjoy naman kami.

The third game was the Paper Dance. Hindi lang kami masyadong sumayaw,mahangin kasi eh,tapos madaling liparin yung
newspaper.Fornately, we (Jessa and I)won in this game
.The prize was snickers.nyahahaha

The fourth and the last game was the Charade.It was fun coz we all participated in the game.I think that game was the
longest. We finished the game for I think half an hour?..hihihi

Afterwards, we had a picture taking. One thing that would describe the D' Hacienderas is being..."VAIN"..nyahahaha..

We're not just being corny,cool,funny and cute,D' Hacienderas are also sentimental. We value things which will make us

HIDDEN VALLEY RESORT!

Last Sunday, I and some of my cousins went to Hidden Valley at Lamac, Pinamungajan, which would take 1 hour and a half ride from our home. At first I was not excited because it was my second time to be there. The only difference is that mga pinsan ko lang ang kasama ko. Siguro yun ang main reason kung bakit nag.enjoy ako later that day...Hihihihi...

We arrived at around 10:30 am; it was not suppose to be that late but some uncontrollable events happened. Yung isa kung pinsan ay tinanghali nang matapos sah pamamalengke. It was not planned that well kasi eh because the initial plan was to have a trip around Cebu. But because of some circumstances it was not realized. As expected!..Hahay..(magsabot-sabot dili rah di ai gihapon madayon).

After that, we immediately transfer our things from the car to the cottage. The hut that we chose was just beside the fishing area. When we had our lunch maybe at around 11 o’ clock, my brother, while eating, also enjoyed throwing food to the pond. Mas marami pa yatang nakain yung mga isda kesa sa kanya eh. But after a moment halos kaming lahat ay nagpapakain na sa mga isda..hahahahaha..It was fun,pinagkakaguluhan nila yung pagkain. After having our lunch, we changed into a swimming attire..Pakatapos yun na,wala nang aahon sa pool. Nag.enjoy ako sa slide,langoy dito, langoy dun. Ang saya2x talaga.

At 4:30 pm we started packing up our things. We did not right away go home. We stayed at my cousin’s house which is a 45 minute ride. My cousin invited us to have dinner since it was getting dark already, so we just wait ‘til dinner is served. While waiting, we (same group) continued the fun outside their house. Timely, a Balut vendor passed by and fortunately, one of my cousins, offered to treat all of us who wanted to eat balut. Yun!!..kumuha agad ako..hihihihi

Minutes later,..Guess What!!!...Dinner Is Ready!..waaaaaaahhh..So yun,we had our supper, after that we stayed for about 2 and a half hours then we went home. Pagdating sa bahay, tulog kaagad..

COMPANY HOPPING

Last few weeks were very stressful and tiring day ever. I’ve been very busy with school stuffs, preparing for the I.P tour, helping the I.E council for the opening of the I.E week-arrange, assemble, adjust, organize, set-up and fix things, worrying about the projects, assignments and exams from other subjects. Over all, I had a very, very, very tight schedule.

Last February 21, 2009 was the day I’ve been waiting for. This is the day where I can see the efforts, sweat, stress and sacrifices I and my group made just to make this event a successful one. I woke up at 5 o’clock in the morning. I prepared myself; I took a bath, dressed up, and brushed my teeth, just the usual thing when I prepare for school. I arrived at school before 6:30 but I didn’t get inside right away. I went to the Julie’s bakeshop to get the torta bread I ordered day before. Then after that I went inside the campus and placed the box of bread. I went outside again and helped my friends carry the packed lunch we ordered at Bennie’s Eatery.

When the two Villahermosa buses touched the campus grounds at 8:00 am which were supposed to arrived at 6:30, we immediately checked the permits as ordered by Sir Ritche. Then after that we went to Paul Yu, the first company we visited.

They were very accommodating. They really spent time in explaining to us the different processes. They showed to us their products - the lamps in their showroom and they were very nice and colorful. They even gave the teachers lamps

and they also gave us drinks. So refreshing.

The next company we visited was the Shemberg. It is located at Paknaan Mandaue. I don’t have a lot to talk about this company. My experience there was so negative and it’s worth forgetting for. We were welcomed with a bad mood and bad manner. The students were already intimidated. I admit that we contributed to that failure because we forgot to put our contact numbers on the letter we sent to them. Also the failure of the two buses to arrive on time and we stayed long at the first company. I understand that they have rules and they are very strict to that but for me it is not right to talk to us like that. It’s like we committed a major mistake.
After that painful event, we travelled to Danao for about 40 minutes. We had our lunch along their Fish Port. The food was so scrumptious that it made my afternoon in high spirit again.

The 3rd company we went to was the Danao Paper Mill. It was a 5 minute ride from the place where we had our lunch. The place was old, a little bit scary and warmer. They showed to us their machines and explained to us the different processes. The person who entertained us really gave his full effort for us to understand the flow of the product. He even wrote the flow on the board before we went to the actual scenario. He was well prepared and I appreciated it a lot.

The last company for that day was the Danao Sugar Mill which is located just beside the Paper Mill. We were all in a BLOW when one of our friends opened the bus’ door and smelt the canal like or manure like odor. But minutes later, people became immune to that odor. They started to enjoy the tour. We saw big tanks and we climbed at their very steep stairs. The smell of the place was so sweet. I wonder if people working there are diabetic and I wonder if there are millions of ants living in there.

Afterwards, we went back to Danao plaza to have our election of batch officers for the school year 2009-2010. Then after that we went to Titay’s Bakeshop to buy something for the stomach. In the bus, we shared what we had at Titay’s Bakeshop. Even Sir Donn shared his. My friends and I just talked and talked along the way. We talked about our experiences in every company, excluding Shemberg. All in all, it was so much fun. I am so proud of my friends, they really are responsible and I can say that I have my friends that I can lean on.

That Was Me...This Is Me...That Would Be Me...

If I recall my life 5 years ago, I was then 14 years old at that time. I can say that I have changed a lot. My looks changed, my responsibilities are much harder than before, my perception in life has changed, I felt different and my emotions are not that intense. When I was in second year high school, all I think of was satisfying myself of earthly things. I’m always happy and not taking things seriously. I don’t know, it’s just that I don’t mind problems at that time and that’s maybe because I’m so dependent to my parents and I’m so confident that I can survive obstacles knowing that I have a sister and a brother in both sides ready to lean a hand for me since I’m the youngest in the family. And if we were to talk about my physical appearance, there is such a big improvement I tell you. I was so chubby at that time, my hair was wavy and so thick, and I was dark and had a bad posture. I don’t have curves in my body, my breast is not that shaped and for me I’m not that attractive to look at. So loser I know. Well, that WAS me. As I have said, a big CHANGE happened in me and that change feels good inside and out. That change leads me to this reality that life is fair and beautiful to live in.

Now that I am 19 years of age, I can say that I am now a lady with pride and dignity. I am now mature enough to know right from wrong, more responsible and can handle things righteously. I am now in control of my temper and learn that living life to the fullest is not just eating the right food and getting physically fit but it’s living the life God wants us to live. A life full of joy, peace and love and a life free from anger and guilt. Being 19 is a challenge for me for this stage of my life is the most interesting yet complicated. Many changes happened during this teenage stage of mine especially in my physical appearance. My hair is now straightened and not that thick, I lose weight and become a mature like woman. My body is formed though it’s not that curved. And in this, I feel that I am looking better and healthier.

Conceptualizing my future 5 years from now, I would be 24 at that time, maybe I would be more focus to the things that surrounds me. I would be working in a good and decent job. Helping my family and making them happy and contented. I’ll be having my own place to live in not relying to my parents. I’ll be sustaining myself from all my needs and wants. I’ll also be building my own business and manage it myself since I took up a course that will be much helpful in running a business. And most importantly I will live life according to God’s Will.
